Duty Manager (Almaty)

Your responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of ground handling operations (scheduled, charter, VIP, aircraft repositioning), including Check-in, Operations, Weight & Balance, Load & Fuel, Turnaround Coordination, and Technical handling
• Coordinate airport services to ensure safe, on-time, cost-efficient, and compliant flight departures and arrivals
• Monitor operational performance, manage costs in line with budget, and identify process improvement opportunities while maintaining high OTP
• Supervise aircraft handling from on-block to off-block, ensuring full compliance with procedures and contractor performance
• Support handling agents with operational expertise and ensure high standards of passenger service
• Conduct pre-flight briefings and post-flight debriefings; prepare and submit operational reports with required documentation
• Maintain continuous communication with airport authorities (customs, border control, aviation services, health services, police, etc.)
• Provide data and documentation for claims, irregularities, and financial settlements
• Initiate and contribute to improvements in procedures and operational standards
• Collaborate closely with Operations Control Center, Ground Operations, Maintenance, Crew Control, and other internal departments
• Manage and support operations during irregularities, including passenger care (meals, transport, hotels), special categories (PRM, UM, DGR), and cargo
• Conduct regular station inspections and ensure compliance with SLA agreements
• Participate in projects and support cross-functional initiatives
• Deliver training and knowledge-sharing to handling agents
• Identify operational risks and ensure timely reporting and mitigation
• Ensure timely closure of non-conformities and implementation of corrective actions

Our requirements:

• Strong experience in airline or airport ground operations
• Excellent coordination and decision-making skills in a dynamic environment
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards
• Ability to manage stakeholders and external service providers
• High level of responsibility, proactivity, and problem-solving mindset
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
