Trzeci zmodernizowany w pozna\u0144skim Modertransie tramwaj N8C z Kassel przyjecha\u0142 do Gda\u0144ska w nocy z 26 na 27 marca. Roz\u0142adunek odby\u0142 si\u0119 tradycyjnie na torowisku na ul. Nowe Ogrody. Pojazd ma numer boczny 1163. Jest to kolejny z 16 wagon\u00f3w, jakie ZKM kupi\u0142 od niemieckiego przewo\u017anika.<\/p>\n

Umowa na zakup 16 dwukierunkowych tramwaj\u00f3w N8C, mi\u0119dzy ZKM w Gda\u0144sku a KVG Kassel, zosta\u0142a podpisana w 2014 roku. Ca\u0142kowity koszt zakupu to 672 000 euro (jest to oko\u0142o 1\/3 ceny jednego nowego fabrycznie tramwaju dwukierunkowego). Pojazdy zosta\u0142y wyprodukowane w 1981 roku. Pozosta\u0142e tramwaje kupione w Kassel s\u0105 obecnie modernizowane w pozna\u0144skim Modertransie. Modernizacja jednego wagonu to koszt 1 146 200 z\u0142. Pojazdy stan\u0105 si\u0119 bardziej przyjazne pasa\u017cerom dzi\u0119ki takim zmianom, jak m.in. nowy wygl\u0105d, nowe siedziska, klimatyzacja oraz niskopod\u0142ogowy cz\u0142on z miejscem na w\u00f3zek inwalidzki lub dzieci\u0119cy. Utrzymana zostanie r\u00f3wnie\u017c mo\u017cliwo\u015b\u0107 jazdy dwukierunkowej.<\/p>\n

D\u00fcwag N8C to typ tramwaju produkowanego w latach 1978-1986 przez niemieck\u0105 firm\u0119 D\u00fcsseldorfer Waggonfabrik. \u0141\u0105cznie zbudowano 76 pojazd\u00f3w tego typu ?54 dla Dortmundu oraz 22 dla Kassel.<\/p>\n

Po Gda\u0144sku je\u017adzi ju\u017c 46 tramwaj\u00f3w N8C. Zosta\u0142y one kupione w 2007 roku od zak\u0142adu komunikacji miejskiej DSW 21 w Dortmundzie za kwot\u0119 1,4 mln euro (jest to oko\u0142o 2\/3 ceny jednego nowego fabrycznie tramwaju dwukierunkowego). Pojazdy zosta\u0142y poddane modernizacji w przedsi\u0119biorstwie Modertrans Pozna\u0144 Sp. z o.o. Pierwszy N8C z Dortmundu wyjecha\u0142 na gda\u0144skie tory w maju 2009 roku. Koszt modernizacji jednego wagonu wyni\u00f3s\u0142 700 748 z\u0142.
