Zdemontowano nawierzchni\u0119 jezdni, poza krótkim pasem od strony Placu Teatralnego, który umo\u017cliwia dojazd do parkingu przy Urz\u0119dzie Miasta. Rozpocz\u0119\u0142y si\u0119 prace zwi\u0105zane z przebudow\u0105 sieci infrastruktury podziemnej wraz z wymian\u0105 s\u0142upów trakcyjnych. W zwi\u0105zku z wprowadzon\u0105 organizacj\u0105 ruchu kierowcy mog\u0105 dojecha\u0107 do centrum ulic\u0105 Dominika\u0144sk\u0105 od strony ulicy Szumana. Wyjazd z tego rejonu Starówki poprowadzony jest ulic\u0105 J\u0119czmienn\u0105.<\/div>\n
Równolegle prowadzone s\u0105 prace na ul. Traugutta, gdzie wymieniona zostanie cz\u0119\u015b\u0107 torów tramwajowych. Ruszy\u0142a rozbiórka, która nie powoduje znacznych utrudnie\u0144 w ruchu samochodów. Na odcinku robót od strony torowiska zw\u0119\u017cony b\u0119dzie tylko pas ruchu w jednym kierunku. Podczas robót w obr\u0119bie skrzy\u017cowania z ul. Wary\u0144skiego nie b\u0119dzie mo\u017cliwy przejazd przez torowisko.<\/div>\n
Wkrótce planowane jest rozpocz\u0119cie rozbiórki jednego z torów na odcinku ul. Szumana, Placu \u015bw. Katarzyny i Warszawskiej. Robotnicy zamontuj\u0105 tymczasowe rozjazdy na ul. Traugutta i Szumana. Dzi\u0119ki nim, po zako\u0144czeniu robót torowych na ul. Wa\u0142y gen. Sikorskiego z pocz\u0105tkiem pa\u017adziernika wznowiony zostanie ruch tramwajowy mi\u0119dzy UMK, a Rubinkowem. Mi\u0119dzy ul. Szumana, a mostem kolejowym tramwaje porusza\u0107 si\u0119 b\u0119d\u0105 wahad\u0142owo po jednym torze.<\/div>\n

W ramach BiT-City trwa tak\u017ce budowa linii tramwajowej do Fordonu, najwi\u0119kszej od lat bydgoskiej inwestycji infrastrukturalnej. Powstaje blisko 10 kilometrów torów, cz\u0119\u015bciowo po\u0142o\u017conych na 530-metrowej estakadzie (w rejonie stacji kolejowej Bydgoszcz Wschód), z trzynastoma parami przystanków. Do obs\u0142ugi dwóch zupe\u0142nie nowych linii tramwajowych (Mariampol –g\u0142ówny dworzec kolejowy – ul. Rycerska i Mariampol –Kapu\u015bciska) ju\u017c zamówiono w bydgoskiej Pesie dwana\u015bcie nowoczesnych tramwajów typu Swing, wyposa\u017conych w klimatyzacj\u0119, automaty biletowe i bezprzewodowy dost\u0119p do internetu, które w szczycie b\u0119d\u0105 kursowa\u0107 co 7,5 minuty.
