W wyniku prac badawczo-rozwojowych, prowadzonych przez r\u00f3\u017cnychwykonawc\u00f3w, ma by\u0107 opracowany innowacyjny tabor kolejowy na potrzeby PKP IC.Chodzi o nowoczesne lokomotywy elektryczne, elektryczne zespo\u0142y trakcyjne (EZT)oraz sk\u0142ady typu push-pull. Pojazdy maj\u0105 by\u0107 przystosowane do pr\u0119dko\u015bci 160-250km\/h.
