W dniu 15.02.2008 otwarto przebudowany tunel &bdquo;F&uuml;rstentunnel&ldquo;, kt&oacute;ry otrzyma\u0142 nowe przeznaczenie. Sta\u0142 si\u0119 on miejscem do odstawiania rower&oacute;w z miejscami na 50 dwuko\u0142owych pojazd&oacute;w. Dzi\u0119ki temu tunelowi pasa\u017cerowie korzystaj\u0105cy z rower&oacute;w maj\u0105 bezpo\u015brednie wej\u015bcie na ka\u017cdy peron, co znacznie skr&oacute;ci czas potrzebny na zmian\u0119 \u015brodka transportu. W tunelu znajduje si\u0119 25 og&oacute;lnie dost\u0119pnych stanowisk oraz 25 dost\u0119pnych z zamkni\u0119ciami. Ta druga strefa sk\u0142ada si\u0119 z zabudowanych stanowisk z zamkni\u0119ciem, gdzie mo\u017cemy zostawi\u0107 rower wraz z baga\u017cem. Oczywistym pytaniem jest tutaj bezpiecze\u0144stwo pozostawionych rower&oacute;w. Porz\u0105dku pilnuj\u0105 kamery monitoringu. Dodatkowo dla wygody pasa\u017cer&oacute;w otwarto ma\u0142y warsztat naprawy rower&oacute;w. Ca\u0142y ten projekt zosta\u0142 sfinansowany przez Land Turyngia, miasto Gera oraz DB Station &amp;Service.
