Wagony te zosta\u0142y wyprodukowane przez Morrison Knudsen w Hornell zlokalizowanym w stanie Nowy Jork. Wagony powsta\u0142y w latach 1994-1997, natomiast w 1998 roku zak\u0142ady zosta\u0142y przej\u0119te przez Alstom, który nadal produkuje tam tabor kolejowy. Warto\u015b\u0107 kontraktu jest szacowana na 13,1 miliona dolarów ameryka\u0144skich. Podczas trwaj\u0105cego dwa lata procesu modernizacji wymieniony zostanie uk\u0142ad drzwiowy oraz unowocze\u015bniony system wind dla niepe\u0142nosprawnych.
