W dniach 12-15 maja w Brukseli odb\u0119dzie si\u0119 15 edycja mi\u0119dzynarodowego kongresu planowania rowerowego Velo-City 2009. Velo-City po raz pierwszy odby\u0142o si\u0119 w Bremie (RFN) w 1980 roku. Od tego czasu sta\u0142o si\u0119 najwi\u0119ksz\u0105 mi\u0119dzynarodow\u0105 konferencj\u0105 po\u015bwi\u0119con\u0105 dzia\u0142aniom na rzecz rozwoju ruchu rowerowego, w której bierze udzia\u0142 ponad 1000 osób z ca\u0142ego \u015bwiata. Uczestnicz\u0105 w niej m.in. ministrowie transportu, zdrowia, ochrony \u015brodowiska, przedstawiciele w\u0142adz miejskich, organizacji pozarz\u0105dowych, producenci rowerów i wyposa\u017cenia oraz oczywi\u015bcie rowerzy\u015bci z ró\u017cnych cz\u0119\u015bci \u015bwiata. Wspó\u0142organizatorem tej najwi\u0119kszej mi\u0119dzynarodowej konferencji rowerowej jest Europejska Federacja Cyklistów, której cz\u0142onkiem jest jako jedna z dwóch polskich organizacji pozarz\u0105dowych – Pomorskie Stowarzyszenie Wspólna Europa. (www.pswe.org ). G\u0142ównym tematem tegorocznej edycji jest „RE-CYCLING cities”(wi\u0119cej na stronie www.velo-city2009.com). W programie konferencji wyst\u0105pi\u0105 przedstawiciele PSWE, dr Piotr Kuropatwi\u0144ski, który poprowadzi sesj\u0119 subplenarn\u0105 na temat „Knowledge centres for cycling Policy”i Andrzej B. Piotrowicz, który przedstawi prezentacj\u0119 na temat „Is European funding in new member states facilitating cycling in cities?”. Wa\u017cnym wydarzeniem kongresu jest uroczyste wr\u0119czenie certyfikatu BYPAD „Przyjazny rowerom”, który jako pierwszy w Polsce otrzymaj\u0105 Urz\u0105d Miasta Tczew oraz Urz\u0105d Gminy Smo\u0142dzino z województwa pomorskiego, gdzie zosta\u0142 przeprowadzony projekt audytu polityki rowerowej BYPAD (wi\u0119cej na stronie www.bypad.org). <\/p>\n
